Walking Tour “Next Stop Long Beach!”
Back by popular demand! Join us on Saturday, June 1 at 1:00 PM at the historic Long Island Railroad station. Along the way, we will “show and tell” stories of important events, personalities, and developments of their time. The tour will end at the Museum, home of the Long Beach Historical & Preservation Society, where you will have an opportunity to enjoy an art exhibit and refreshments. Join Us for PorchFest 2024!
The Long Beach Historical Society will be hosting PorchFest on Saturday, May 18th (rain date Sunday, May 19th). Join us for the Funk Island Sound from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.
The museum needs repairs and significant restoration work. All 47 windows in our architecturally significant museum need to be restored. Our basement floor is cracking, our chimney needs work, and numerous other projects are needed to restore our museum to its original glory.
Please consider donating to The Long Beach Historical Society’s Restoration Fund. We seek $25,000 in our generous donations to begin restoration work on our most urgent projects. No donation is too small, and we appreciate every penny.
